Building on the 2022 conference this year the conference considered the impact of digital advances on investigations, policing VAWG and changes in public protest. The debate about police independence and managing complex protest overpowered many of the discussions but the conference agreed on the need for greater cybersecurity of individuals (especially those vulnerable to coercive control) and added to the debate on qualifications and police recruits. See the Conference 2023 Page for more details.
